This is my analysis of the question:

OPINION ON CLAIMING MULTIPLE RECORDS

On 10 February 2007, the USA officially adopted the position of supporting the proposals of Austria and France.

On 3 March 2007, the IGC Plenum voted to abandon the restrictions on speed and distance flights for records.  You may now claim any World Record you have broken.  This is a victory for common sense.  (The effective date for this change is 1 October 2007).
